Mercedes-AMG One can get a special series from Lewis Hamilton
February 26, 2019The hybrid hypercar Mercedes-AMG One is already going beyond all reasonable limits, but the company can create an even more unique version in collaboration with the champion of the Formula-1 competition.
Hypercar Mercedes-AMG One rather unique car that aroused public interest due to the combination of the technology of Formula 1 and hybridization of the power plant. This allows you to “squeeze” of the 1.6-liter V6 turbo engine more than 1,000 horsepower. A total of 275 copies of the car will be produced, and all of them have already been sold, despite the fact that the model is now presented only as a prototype.
Nevertheless, the champion of Formula 1 Lewis Hamilton believes that AMG can achieve more from the model. He suggests that companies create not just a car with a “unique” nameplate and new wheels, but really make some changes to the hypercar, and as far as we know, AMG is considering this possibility.
So far, there is no need to talk about the likelihood of a new version being released, but we see no reason for rejecting this idea. At least, the car received the engine from F1, Lewis Hamilton and so had a hand in the creation of the model. Moreover, the car is allowed on public roads (more interest), as well as all copies have already been sold, so there is no reason to refuse to release several more hybrid hypercars with more power, slightly different body kit and Lewis’s autograph.
It will also give a small response to Ferrari, which constantly releases “champion” version in honor of the victory in Formula 1.
