Mercedes-AMG is testing the updated sedan E63 2021 model yearMarch 12, 2019
The German novelty will receive minor changes in front and rear, as well as increased power.
The current sedan Mercedes-Benz E-Class debuted in 2016. We first saw test prototypes of an updated version of the model 2020 model year in November 2018. Well, this instance, whose “spy” photos appeared on the Web a couple of minutes ago, is a high-performance modification of a sedan – yes, we have nothing but Mercedes-AMG E63 .
Proof that this is actually a “charged” version of a business-class sedan is the presence on the prototype of massive cross-drilled brake rotors with red calipers, both front and rear.
Take a closer look and you will notice a slim spoiler on the trunk, quad exhaust pipes, a diffuser, and updated taillights. In general, the rear end style changes should be very minor.
We expect that the changes from the front of the sedan will also be small – it is very similar to the current version of the model, although some small changes may be associated with air intakes. But the design of the headlights will be significantly different – judging by the pictures, they have become a little thinner.
Inside, we can expect the appearance of an upgraded infotainment system MBUX, a new steering wheel and a modified center console. We have not heard anything about the engines for the new, but apparently the current 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, with its capacity of 603 hp will be rescheduled. In this case, the sprint to 100 km / h will take about three seconds.
So far there is no information about when the long-awaited Mercedes-AMG E63 will be presented.
