Mercedes-AMG has published prices for the younger version of the 4-door coupe GT53March 17, 2019
The starting price of a less powerful performance of a “charged” German coupe with four doors is $ 99,995.
Mercedes-Benz has finally published the American prices for the 4-door coupe Mercedes-AMG GT performed by 53 – this is the last member of the AMG GT Coupe family. Moreover, the GT 53 will cost quite “affordable” $ 99,995. It is also a less powerful version of the German high-performance car that competes with the Porsche Panamera Turbo and Audi RS7 Sportback.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 53 is equipped with a modernized 3.0-liter turbocharged engine with a displacement of 6.0 liters, as well as an electric auxiliary compressor.
This powerplant produces 429 horsepower and works with a 9-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT gearbox, all-wheel drive AMG Performance 4MATIC +. Also, this engine is equipped with EQ Boost technology, which can add another 21 hp and 184 Nm of torque in case of need. In this case, the accumulated electric power from the 48 V battery is used through a starter-generator. The latter is a powerful electric motor that combines the functions of a starter and an alternator. It should be noted that the EQ Boost technology is not available in the more expensive versions of the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S.
Another unique feature of the novelty is the electric auxiliary compressor, which helps to quickly spin the turbines at low and medium engine speeds – the compressor can reach 70,000 rpm in less than a third of a second. The car also received a sports suspension AMG Ride Control.
