See how the newest track Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro drove the “Northern loop”
The track version of the Mercedes-AMG GT R supercar, presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show with the Pro prefix, drove the Nürburgring North Loop in 7 minutes and 4.6 seconds. Video with the arrival of the coupe was published on the YouTube channel of the sports division of the German mark.
The “Pro version” of the supercar drove the track 24 seconds slower than the 700-strong coupe of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS MR, which is now the fastest road car in the Nurburgring. For the race, the 911 was prepared by specialists from Manthey-Racing, receiving special suspension settings that take into account the characteristics of the “North Loop”.
The Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro also has special suspension settings and design elements that migrated from the GT3 and GT4 racing cars. The car is equipped with a 585-strong eight-cylinder biturbo engine, safety cage, “buckets”, carbon-ceramic brakes.
