Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe returned to the NurburgringJuly 20, 2018
Several prototypes of the long-awaited German novelties, including a very nice blue-blue eye, were spotted around the famous Nürburgring race track (Germany). The novelty will go into European sales this summer. So far, there is no official data on the prices for a high-performance coupe.
Usually we do not like to consider the spy videos of those cars that have already been officially introduced, but for the incredibly beautiful Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, we are ready to make an exception. Being presented at the Geneva Motor Show in March of this year, a large 4-door coupe with a rather confusing name “lost” all its camouflage on returning to the German race track Nürburgring, where it was often tested – it is known that at the moment, a German car arrived to pass the final tests before starting sales.
Judging by the video published a couple of hours ago, the German automaker is testing several prototypes of the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe at the same time – we really liked that one of them, which got the same body color as the previously presented concept.
The German novelty is in fact the direct heir of the old model of the CLS 63, although at the same time it has much more in common with the E63 business class wagon, not with the new CLS.
According to official data, the most powerful version of the 4-door coupe will be offered with a 630-horsepower engine, so this figure is 9 hp. more than can boast a version of the S65 with a V12 engine). Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe is by right the most powerful mass-produced car company Mercedes-Benz. Of course, we know that the Project One Hypercar, on which Mercedes-AMG specialists work, will be able to give out the maximum power of 1000 hp, but still this car has a different status.
Watching these prototypes that compete in the speed of the Nurburgring circles, do not forget that according to the idea of the leadership of the German automaker, the large 4-door coupe will be the main rival to the high-performance fastback Panamera Turbo.
Most recently, our car edition wrote that the charged Mercedes-AMG A45 is being tested.
