The company Mercedes-AMG and shipbuilding company Cigarette Racing presented a new speedboat jointly developed. The boat, called Cigarette Racing 515 Project One, is dedicated to the hybrid hypercar Mercedes-AMG Project One.
The boat is about 15.5 meters long and has a wide use of Kevlar and Carbon. The device is able to take on board up to six passengers. Cigarette Racing 515 Project One is powered by two V8 units with four camshafts. Each of the engines develops 1,350 horsepower.
In this case, when using a special “racing key”, the engine output will increase to 1550 forces. Thus, their total output will be 3,100 horsepower. The maximum speed of the boat is 225 km per hour.
The public premiere of Cigarette Racing 515 Project One will take place on February 16 at the International Boat Show in Miami.
Hypercar Mercedes-AMG Project One, which used the technology cars Formula 1, was introduced in September 2017 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The novelty was based on the 1.6-liter unit V6, working in tandem with electric motors. The total output of the units exceeded 1000 horsepower.
The Mercedes-AMG Project One is capable of accelerating from place to 100 km / h in about 2.5 seconds, and the acceleration to 200 km / h takes no more than six seconds. The maximum speed of the hypercar exceeded 350 km per hour.
