Mercedes-AMG announced prices for the “charged” GLC 63 crossoverJune 8, 2019
According to the official price list, the German high-performance new model year 2020 costs at least 73,750 dollars. Less powerful modification GLC 43 will no longer be.
In March of this year, Mercedes-Benz presented its updated GLC-Class crossover, and in April we were shown its high-performance version called the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63. But the “charged” GLC 43 with less power was nowhere to be seen. At the time, we didn’t really think about it, but an anonymous source who claims to be working at a Mercedes-Benz dealership says that the GLC 43 will no longer be there.
Now, the only high-performance version of the compact crossover for the 2020 model year is the Mercedes-AMG GLC 63. It is also known that this car is valued at least $ 73,750. Compared to the previous version of the car, the price increase is quite insignificant. This price has not yet been officially announced.
We heard rumors about the appearance of the GLC 53, which could borrow a hybrid turbocharged inline “six” from a larger GLE 53, which debuted in March. This engine produces 435 hp.
If the GLC crossover with index 43 really is no longer presented, can the AMG come up with a replacement? Given the extreme popularity of SUVs and crossovers lately, the answer to this question is likely to be yes, and fat, yes. The standard GLC-class offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 255 horsepower, while the AMG GLC 63 gets 469 hp.
