McLaren showed special Senna GTRSeptember 20, 2020
McLaren has revealed five special track Senna GTR LMs to celebrate the brand’s 25th Le Mans victory.
Each of the cars got a livery that repeats the design of one of the five McLaren F1 GTR cars that finished in that race – in positions 1, 3, 4, 5 and 13.
Special variations of the Senna GTR were developed by employees of the MSO division. Each livery was recreated down to the smallest detail, and it took 800 hours to paint the cars by hand. At the same time, McLaren was forced to obtain permission from several firms to use the trademarks and from the organizers of the Le Mans race.
Other unique features of the special modifications are the presence of OZ Racing wheels, which also repeat the original F1 GTRs, as well as some technical improvements. The performance of the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine was increased from 825 to 845 hp.
All special editions have already been purchased by American, European and British buyers, but their cost remains unknown.
In addition, it was recently noted that the tuning company Topaz showed an exclusive McLaren Speedtail in a bright red hue. It should be emphasized that the 3-seater hypercar with the most efficient aerodynamics began to be delivered to customers recently.
