McLaren Senna and 720S compared in the drag raceSeptember 25, 2018
Edition Autocar compared in the drag race two supercars McLaren: extreme 800-strong Senna and entering the middle line of the Super Series 720S. Both cars competed in the dispersal to 30, 60 and 100 miles per hour – 48, 96 and 161 kilometers per hour, respectively.
In the movement McLaren Senna (P15) brings a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a power of 800 and 800 Nm torque, coupled with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. A hundred supercars can dial in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 340 kilometers per hour.
The same unit on the McLaren 720S gives out 720 hp and 770 Nm of torque, accelerating the coupe to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.9 seconds. The maximum speed of 720 is even higher than that of Senna – 341 kilometers per hour. At supercars the price also differs: 218 against 750 thousand pounds sterling.
