McLaren introduced a special version of the 720SJune 17, 2020
McLaren revealed a special version of the 720S called the Le Mans Special Edition.
According to the company’s press center, the release of a special variation is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the victory of the F1 GTR in the race in 1995.
The circulation of the special version will be only 50 units, of which only 16 are intended for the European market. Special modification will be offered only in two body shades: orange McLaren Orange and gray Sarthe Gray.
Regardless of the color chosen for the 720S Special Edition, the lower part of the bumper, the lower body area and the rear bumper are painted in Ueno Gray gray, and the inscription McLaren 25 anniversary Le Mans is also on the sides.
Special versions, in particular, acquired unique 5-spoke LM wheels, a black-glossy roof, golden brake calipers and racing sports bucket seats trimmed with carbon fiber. As noted in McLaren, the VIN number of each special version car starts with “298” – that is how many laps the F1 GTR covered in the winning race.
Despite the change in the exterior and interior, the technical part remained the same. So, the McLaren 720S Le Mans Special Edition is equipped with the 710-horsepower twin-turbo V8 volume of 4.0 liters, which is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission with dual clutch. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in just 2.9 seconds and accelerates to 341 km / h as much as possible.
McLaren 720S Le Mans Special Edition can already be ordered at a cost of 254,500 pounds. The first deliveries of the special version are scheduled for September this year.
