A special version of the Japanese car will be dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the model Mazda MX-5. The new version of the roadster, which will be called the Anniversary Edition, will be presented at the Chicago Auto Show in the US next month.

In 1989, at the Chicago Auto Show, the Japanese company Mazda for the first time showed the world its MX-5 roadster. Now, after 30 years, the guys are going to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the model at the same event. I want to note that no other car from this automaker is more popular than the MX-5, which is also known as Miata.

At the moment, the press service of the Japanese company has published only one image of the new version of its model. And this is a teaser, you can not see the final car in all its details. Yes, and details about the Mazda MX-5 30th Anniversary Edition so far not so much.

Well, let’s look at what we have. Judging by this image, the car will receive a bright orange or red body color and will be based on a hardtop RF convertible. By the way, a couple of days later, a presentation of the Mazda MX-5 Miata Roadster with a carbon fiber roof will take place – the show will be held at the Tokyo Auto Show in Japan.

The automaker plans to introduce previous versions of the Mazda MX-5 Miata. There is evidence that they will be collected in limited editions.

The 2019 Chicago Auto Show will start on the days of the press (February 7 and 8), and for everyone, it will run from February 9 to February 18. In addition to presenting a special edition of the Miata roadster, the Japanese automaker will also showcase the new Mazda3 and the latest version of the Mazda6, as well as the CX-3, CX-5 and CX-9 crossovers.
