US media quoted a representative of the Mazda company said that the sale of the new RX model will be available only with a rotary engine. The world debut is scheduled for 2020.
Vice-President and head of the marketing department of the Mazda company in the US Russell Wager said that any ready to release the RX model is equipped with a “rotary power”, and this despite the fact that these engines are known for their “voracity” of fuel.
Recall that the last Mazda car, equipped with a rotary engine was launched off the assembly line back in 2012. Nevertheless, the Japanese automaker was determined to return to similar technology. The power unit for the Mazda RX will be able to develop up to 400 horsepower. In tandem with the motor will work a manual shift or automatic transmission.
Exterior Mazda RX will be very similar to the recently presented concept car called “RX-Vision”. There are no exact terms of the appearance of the car on market, but many experts believe – a novelty worth waiting for no later than 2020.
