Mazda will launch European sales of the new CX-30 crossover very soon. On the eve of this event, the management of the Japanese brand decided to revealed the motor line of the novelty.
Mazda announced the imminent start of sales of its new crossover CX-30 in Europe. The management of the brand does not name the exact date yet. But it became known that this SUV, built on the Skyactiv-Vehicle platform, will receive three available engines at once – two petrol and one diesel. The latter produces 116 hp, and its working volume is 1.8 liters. The average fuel consumption with him for each new 100 km – up to 7.3 liters. The two-liter Skyactiv-G gasoline engine boasts a 122hp performance. with a torque of 213 Nm.
Also, the Mazda CX-30 will get a 180-hp Skyactiv-X engine with a special SPCCI technology, which is responsible for igniting the combustible mixture without spark plugs.
In fact, both gasoline engines can be called “soft” hybrids: a couple of them is a 48-volt starter-generator. At low loads, two of the four cylinders of the engine can shut off, which will have a positive effect on fuel economy. As a result, for each new 100 km will spend from 5.3 to 9.7 liters, depending on the transmission and type of drive. All motors can be paired with either the six-speed manual gearbox Skyactiv-MT or the six-speed automatic transmission Skyactiv-Drive. The drive can be both front and full.
