Mazda released an updated crossover CX-8October 25, 2019
Official Japanese Mazda brand dealers have announced the start of accepting orders for the updated three-row crossover CX-8. The novelty will go on sale on November 28.
Improved cross is now offered with both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive for any engine. It should be noted that before all-wheel drive was available only for models CX-8, which had a diesel engine.
All-wheel drive SUVs are now equipped with the Off-Road Traction Assist option, which automatically distributes torque between the wheels, as standard.
Cross is equipped with a 2.2-liter turbodiesel with a capacity of 190 hp. or a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G supercharged engine with a capacity of 253 hp Together with the engines, a 6-speed automatic transmission operates.
The novelty has become more practical. So, the niche in the trunk, located under the floor, has become more capacious – 84 liters (+19), if there is no Bose audio system, and 56 liters (+8) – if there is one.
Inside, you can have a new multimedia system with an 8-inch display. The second row seat has a quick folding mechanism. Passengers sitting on the third row can use USB ports.
Also, the crossover was equipped with a panoramic roof, which has an electric sunroof. The roof also acquired sound insulation, significantly reducing noise during rain.
In Japan, the updated cross is in the range of 2.948 – 4.89 million yen
