On the eve it became known about the launch of a large-scale revocable campaign for Mazda cars. We are talking about 36,761 crossover CX-5, which came off the assembly line in the United States in 2016. The faulty unit is the daytime running lights. The problem arose in the incorrect sealing due to the fact that the gasket was not manufactured in accordance with the required specification. In this case, the insulation of the wires that are connected to the LED filling of the headlights is gradually destroyed, which in turn can lead to flickering, weak glow or complete failure. The CX-5 crossover is the main bestseller of the brand, so the recall campaign turns out to be so large-scale.
However, this information has not yet been officially recorded in the database of the recall of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Therefore, car owners have not yet received notifications asking them to come to the nearest service center. There is also no information on a possible repair or complete replacement of the unit. Most often, when confirming a malfunction associated with production, diagnostics and work are free.
