The legendary coupe and roadster Miata enters its 31st year of release. By 2020, the company has prepared a number of small updates, including a new body color and a new package of Silver Top options.
Last month, at the Tokyo Motor Show, Mazda announced a series of small updates for the MX-5 Miata Roadster. Model 2020 model year goes on sale early next year. Orders have already been received since December 5 in the home market.
One of the main updates was the new Polymetal Gray Metallic body color, which first appeared on the new Mazda 3 in early 2019. According to the manufacturer, the new shade combines the hardness of the metal with the characteristic glossy smoothness of the plastic, emphasizing the smooth shape of the MX-5 case.
In addition, in Japan, the model will receive a new package of Silver Top options, which includes a soft top in body color, as well as alloy wheels 16 inches of a unique design, and also gray. If you don’t like these wheels, you can order 16-inch forged aluminum wheels designed with Rays. Brembo brake calipers are also available.
The interior was not left without attention. In the coupe versions, the new Mazda MX-5 will receive Nappa burgundy leather trim stitched with light gray thread. In addition, the style of the old decoration, where there was a perforation on the seats, changed.
Under the hood, everything will remain as before. The model is offered with a kyActiv-G 1.5 or SkyActiv-G 2.0 engine in combination with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission.
