Mazda has published a teaser for its crossover newsFebruary 5, 2019
The new crossover will be shown at the Geneva Motor Show (March of this year). Teaser does not tell us which model is being discussed, but it is quite possible that it will become a new version of the CX-3 crossover.
Until the beginning of the 2019 Geneva Motor Show, exactly one month, so from now until March 5, we should expect a large number of various teasers from various automakers. For example, the Japanese company Mazda has published an ambiguous teaser for the new crossover, which will be shown at the 89th annual motor show in Switzerland.
Interestingly, the “personality model” is not disclosed – the automaker says only that it is a compact crossover and at the same time the second model of a completely new generation, which has much in common with the new Mazda3.
We are inclined to the updated subcompact crossover CX-3, since its presentation will be quite logical step after the appearance of the updated Mazda3. It is worth noting that the current generation of the model is technically a subcompact crossover, but given the recent reports from insiders who say that the car will increase in size for its next iteration, it can be transferred to the compact segment. We do not exclude the possibility that this may be the European version of the CX-4.
According to the press release, the new compact crossover will also use the newest Skyactiv engines – apparently the long-awaited Skyactiv-X is also talking about, promising a smooth gasoline unit with diesel fuel economy.
In addition, the European premiere of the anniversary version of the sports model MX-5, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the car, will take place at the Geneva Motor Show.
