Mazda CX-5 received an updateJanuary 27, 2021
Mazda cars presented on the European market will receive modernization.
Mazda continues to update its CX-5 mid-size crossover with a European version now. Recall that the first Mazda CX-5 went on sale in 2012 and since that time has sold 3,190,000 copies. At the same time, 490,870 units fell on Europe. One of the innovations will be the appearance of a new version – under its hood there is a diesel engine with a working volume of 2.2 liters and a power of 184 hp. The basic equipment with a 2.0-liter 165-horsepower turbo engine also remains in service.
Already in the basic version, Europeans will have access to a multimedia complex with a diagonal of 10.25 inches. In the current version, the touchscreen has a diagonal of 8 inches. However, the increase in size is not the only plus, speed and resolution have also improved, and the functionality of the MyMazda application has been expanded.
Now Europeans will have access to Mazda Connected Services technology, with the help of which it is possible to view the status of a car, provide access to it, as well as build routes and call for roadside assistance. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are naturally supported.
From technical innovations, the response to the gas pedal has been slightly improved, and the gearbox software has been updated for better dynamics.
A special version of the Homura will also be available for purchase, which features 19-inch wheels, black exterior elements and red interior stitching. Now the novelty is already available in the UK and Italy. A little later, it is worth waiting for a car in Russia, but without innovative multimedia.
Meanwhile, the official sales of the Mazda CX-30 compact crossover have begun on the Russian market. The Japanese company hopes for a good start in sales, as this car has become one of the most technologically advanced in its class.
