Mazda began to manufacture and sell parts for the legendary Miata modelNovember 1, 2019
To help owners of the first-generation Miata Roadster, Mazda began to produce original parts for it. The list of spare parts available for purchase has everything from small plugs to body panels.
The Japanese company conducted its own research, talked with representatives of specialized stores and services, as well as with Miata clubs to find out what parts of the Miata car are in highest demand. Further, thanks to contractors and their own suppliers, original spare parts were launched into production.
Masahiro Moro, CEO of Mazda’s North American division, explained that the Miata is a very important car in the company’s history, with a growing huge army of fans every year. That is why it is very important for the Japanese brand to maintain this culture and see as many copies of the Miat on the roads as possible.
Published a list of all available spare parts, with 42 pages. It includes all the details: from tiny plugs to elements of the brake system and suspension, as well as body panels. Although they are made according to modern methods, they still look the same as the original parts created during the production of the car.
At the end of March this year, another Japanese brand Nissan launched a similar project. As part of the Nismo Heritage program, the company began producing parts for the RB26DETT engine. This power plant was put on three generations of the legendary Skyline sports car.
