Maserati will release a new SUV in 2021February 14, 2020
Maserati provided additional information about her electrification strategy, which will allow all future models to receive hybrid and battery power units.
This list will be joined by a new SUV, which will be assembled at the Cassino plant in Italy, along with Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia, after an investment of 800 million euros ($ 869 million).
The first prototypes should go off the assembly line by 2021 with an electrified transmission. In addition, Maserati has officially confirmed its new super sports car for 2020. The model, which was presented in the form of the stunning Alfieri Concept, will be built in Modena and receive an electric version.
The first hybrid company to appear on sale will be Ghibli, which is expected to be released later this year. No other details about the electrified model were reported, but it is expected that it will be equipped with a hybrid transmission with a plug-in module and can be offered first in China, and then in other world markets.
Finally, the next-generation GranTurismo and GranCabrio will go the zero-emission path and will be the first brand models to use a battery-powered installation. The production of two sports cars will begin in 2021 at Mirafiori, in which they will invest 800 million euros ($ 869 million).
