Company Maserati has published a teaser of a new modification of the SUV Levante, whose public debut will take place at the New York Motor Show. The caption to the photo reads: “A new storm is coming”. According to preliminary information, the car will receive a twin-turbo eight-cylinder engine from the top version of the flagship sedan Quattroporte.
At Maserati Quattroporte, the output of the Ferrari’s 3.8-liter unit, the latest version of which is installed, including the 488 Pista, is 530 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. From zero to 100 km/h the sedan with such engine is capable to accelerate in 4,7 seconds. Its maximum speed is 310 kilometers per hour.
It is expected that Levante SUV with GTS index will compete with such models as Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Range Rover Sport SVR.
The off-road car Maserati Levante – the first in the history of the Italian brand – debuted in March 2016 at the Geneva Motor Show. The model is built on a passenger platform from the sedan Ghibli and Quattroporte. The range of SUV engines consists of three-liter petrol six-cylinder engines with a capacity of 350 and 430 forces, as well as a 275-horsepower diesel engine.
