Maserati posted a photo of its new supercar MC20May 25, 2020
The press service of the Italian brand published blurry photos of a completely new supercar Maserati – the model received the designation MC20. The car will be presented in September.
Initially, Maserati planned to introduce its all-new supercar MC20 later this month, but due to the situation with coronavirus infection, the debut had to be postponed to September.
The latest images published by the company give us a slightly better look at the “face” of the new MC20, even though we can only see this part of the car in very blurry pictures. The Italian car will have a noticeable front splitter and vertical air intakes. The model also has a large false radiator grille, which is surrounded by thin headlights.
Previous teasers also featured a windshield, a gently sloping roof, and huge side air intakes. There will also be muscular rear “hips”, a ventilated rear bumper and a dual exhaust system.
According to rumors, the MC20 is equipped with a V6 engine that develops more than 600 hp. The company previously stated that the new motor is “100% engineered, designed and manufactured by Maserati engineers.”
The engine is planned to be connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox that will transmit power to the rear wheels. It is expected that the novelty will also be offered with a hybrid as well as an all-electric engine.
It is known that recently published teaser images of the Italian supercar were made on the roads of Sicily. Maserati says the ride wasn’t just for fun, as the MC20 is currently undergoing tests on the road and track.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that the updated Maserati Levante is being tested. The car moves on the roads almost without camouflage. Major upgrades will be waiting inside the cabin.
