Maserati has published a new teaser for the hybrid version of the Ghibli sedanJune 16, 2020
The press service of the Italian automaker introduced a new teaser for the plug-in hybrid version of the Maserati Ghibli sedan. The debut of the car will take place on July 15.
September of this year will be the month when Maserati will present its long-awaited MC20 supercar, but at the same time, the company with the trident on the logo is preparing another presentation. Instead of introducing a new generation of Ghibli sedan, the guys are going to greatly upgrade it, providing him with everything else and a plug-in hybrid powerplant.
A new video teaser, released this week by the Maserati press service, shows that the presentation of the new items is scheduled for July 15th.
It is worth noting that the Italian brand announced a more “green” version of the model almost a year ago. Similar versions will eventually get both the Levante crossover and the Quattroporte sedan.
Maserati planned to introduce the Ghibli 2021 model year at the Beijing Motor Show in China, but the coronavirus pandemic forced the company’s management to postpone the event to September. Instead of waiting until then, the Italian brand is organizing an online event to showcase its luxurious electric-powered sedan.
It is expected that the Ghibli Hybrid will be one of the first models of the company, after the release of which the electrified era for the brand will begin. The company’s roadmap until 2023 shows that almost all existing models will be electrified in one way or another, including the Levante crossover and Quattroporte sedan. The aforementioned MC20 supercar will be offered with an electric motor, as well as the next generation GranTurismo, GranCabrio, Levante and Quattroporte. In addition, the company’s new crossover will receive a purely electric version.
Not so long ago, our publication wrote that Maserati published a photo of its new supercar MC20. The press service of the Italian brand published blurry photos of a completely new supercar Maserati – the model received the designation MC20. The car will be presented in September.
