Mahindra revealed the interior of the global minivan MarazzoAugust 9, 2018
The first teaser of its new MPV firm Mahindra showed a week ago. Then the name of the novelty was announced – Marazzo. As stated in the company, the name was borrowed from the Basque language, it is translated as “shark”. Today, the manufacturer has distributed a new full-scale image of the cabin minivan.
Marazzo developed in the North American technical center of Mahindra, over the design of the minivan Indians worked together with the studio Pininfarina. The model is built on a new platform, details about which the company has not yet shared. Production MPV is established in India, according to local media, in this country, sales of new items will start in early September. And in 2019, Ven will appear in other markets, however, their list is also not disclosed. Most likely, we are talking about Europe – at least, crossovers and pickups Mahindra in some European countries are represented (for example, in Italy, Spain and Hungary).
The minivan will be available in seven- and eight-seat versions. The list of equipment Mahindra Marazzo will include a multimedia system with a touchscreen and support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear-view camera, climate control, ABS, EBD.
It is expected that in the home market the model will be offered with a new diesel engine mFalcon 1.6 joint development of Mahindra and SsangYong (Mahindra also owns the Korean brand). According to preliminary information, the engine capacity will be 125 hp (305 Nm), it will be combined with a six-speed manual and automatic boxes. In addition, the minivan can get a gasoline engine, but its characteristics are unknown. Probably, the gasoline versions of Marazzo will be supplied for export.
