Lynk & Co showed the new Electric DC1E FastbackSeptember 16, 2020
Lynk & Co has unveiled a new fastback model, which will officially premiere at the Beijing Auto Show on September 26.
The Geely-owned automaker has released a variety of models over the years, and this fastback is becoming one of the most attractive. Currently codenamed DC1E, it embodies the company’s recognizable design language in a sleek body that stands out from the 03 sedan and 01 and 02 SUVs.
At the front of the Lynk & Co DC1E, there are small headlights with vertical LED daytime running lights. These teaser images also show it will have retractable door handles and frameless doors, while the rear will have LED lights, a light bar and a subtle roof spoiler. However, the DC1E’s highlight isn’t design. Instead, it will be fully electric.
Local reports claim the DC1E will come with a 100 kWh battery and will be sold in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The rear-wheel drive model will primarily focus on range and will be able to travel up to 725 km (450 miles) on a single charge. Meanwhile, the all-wheel-drive model can have a range of around 635 km (394 miles) according to the NEDC standard.
The new Lynk & Co model will be based on the new Pure Electric Modular Architecture (PMA), which is expected to be used in Geely, Volvo and Polestar electric vehicles in the future. The DC1E is also configured to receive a Level 3 Driver Assistance Package.
