Lynk & Co introduced the 500-hp sedanOctober 19, 2018
The prototype was built in honor of the arrival of the brand in the international series of races WTCR
Chinese brand Lynk & Co, part of the corporation Geely Automobile, introduced the concept sedan 03, built on the basis of the car for the international series of races WTCR. The prototype was created in conjunction with the team Cyan Racing, which will become a partner of Lynk & Co in the season of 2019, and according to the authors, is a road version of a racing car.
Information about the car, except for the power plant of 500 horsepower, no. The conventional Lynk & Co 03 is built on a Volma CMA platform with McPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear. The model is offered only with Drive-E series turbo engines.
Basic three-cylinder 1.5 gives out 156 hp and works together with six-speed manual transmission. The older 190-strong “four” 2.0 is offered with a seven-speed robotized transmission.
In addition to 03, there are two crossovers in the Lynk & Co model range: the “02” model, which is similar in size to the Volvo XC40, and the larger “01”. Machines for the European market will be produced at the Volvo plant in Ghent, Belgium. The first dealership of the brand will open in Amsterdam. Then the salons will appear in Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels and London.
