Luxury Toyota Crown SUV sets a new recordDecember 7, 2019
We are talking about the premium SUV Hongqi HS7, created on the “cart” of the pre-reform Toyota Crown. This SUV has been in great demand since it entered the market.
Hongqi – an analogue of our Aurus, controlled by the Chinese auto giant FAW, launched its new “mass” SUV Hongqi HS7 back in July. Up to this point, premium brand cars were intended only for senior Chinese officials. For five months, according to local analysts, this model sold over 3,500 cars. With this result, the Hongqi HS7 outperformed Hyundai Santa Fe and Nissan Terra.
In terms of dimensions, the SUV is similar to the BMW X5: length – 5,095 mm, width – 1,989 mm, height – 1,778 mm, wheelbase – 2,970 mm. The all-wheel drive novelty is driven by a three-liter 338-horsepower turbo engine, combined with 8AKPP from Aisin.
A month earlier, the FAW presented a special edition of the Hongqi HS7. Such an SUV gets an original appearance in the style of the fifth-generation J-20 Chinese fighter. Nameplates with the image of this jet military aircraft can be found on the racks of cars. Another attribute of designer “militarization” is leather upholstery of chairs with a catchy military print. New product prices in China start at 269,900 yuan
