Luxury Land Rover Defender 130 competes with the Mercedes-Benz G-ClassOctober 22, 2019
The eight-seater SUV is promised to be shown only in the second half of 2020, and for now, the brand gives out metered information about its future novelty, which will appeal to large and active families who love traveling.
The public debut of the new Land Rover Defender 130 is scheduled for next year, which will join the three-door 90 and five-door 110th models. A large eight-seater SUV will enter the market only in the 2021st. Its wheelbase will be a little more than three meters, which helped the automaker avoid platform expansion, which would cost a dashboard sum. But the engineers thoroughly strengthened the rear overhang of the car so that it could accommodate eight seats at once. The length of the Defender 130 will increase by 342 mm compared to version 110 – up to 5.1 meters.
Officially, the existence of Land Rover Defender 130 has not yet been confirmed. However, the concept of the novelty is described in sufficient detail: the SUV was called a “first-class explorer”, which will appeal to active families who love to travel.
It is expected that the Defender 130 will receive the most expensive price in the model line. Among the main rivals of the SUV, experts call the popular Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The brand makes the main bet on the markets of the USA and China, where large SUVs are valued much higher than in European countries.
