Luxury crossover Cadillac XT4 will arrive in Europe with a turbodieselSeptember 3, 2019
Americans have been familiar with this model since last July. For the first quarter of 2019, the Cadillac XT4 sold 7,026 cars. But in China in the same period 13 120 units were sold. It is expected that in the European market the demand for the new product will be weaker.
The compact Cadillac XT4 crossover from the very beginning was created taking into account the preferences of Europeans, but it will only get to the regional market for next year. It is already known that SUVs for the Old World will be equipped with a new two-liter turbodiesel with a return of 170 horsepower, combined with the previous nine-speed automatic transmission. The new engine will take the place of a two-liter gas turbo four with a capacity of 240 hp, with which the cross entered the markets of the USA and China. The drive can be either front or full.
For the most affordable Cadillac XT4 in the “Launch Edition” configuration in Germany, you will have to pay from 42,900 euros. For comparison, the initial versions for the USA and China are cheaper.
Already in the “base” XT4 receives a whole range of security systems, a steering wheel and heated seats, all-round cameras with a parking assistant, an electric drive and a swing sensor for the tailgate, and much more. Europeans will be offered another modification of the compact cross – “Launch Edition Sport” for 49,200 euros. From the standard SUV, it is distinguished by sports decor in the exterior and interior, as well as 20-inch wheels (instead of the usual 18 inches).
In addition, the manufacturer has prepared the optional Premium package, which includes leather trim, front seats with ventilation and a massager, an UltraView sunroof with an electric tanning shutter.
