The new electric car Lucid Air is overgrown with all the new details. Not so long ago, the manufacturer talked about the possibilities of fast charging the car, and on Wednesday, September 2, information about the battery capacity appeared. And then the brand’s engineers were able to surprise – the battery capacity will reach 113 kW / h, which will become a world record among all electric cars. The previous record holder was the Tesla Model S Long Range Plus with 98 kWh.
Thanks to this result, the car will be able to travel at least 830 km on one charge. Lucid Air will be offered in two different versions – with 1 and 2 engines. In the case of 1 electric motor, the power will be 650 hp, and the twin-engine version will get a fantastic output of 1,080 hp. The dynamic characteristics of the car will delight lovers of fast driving – Lucid Air can cover a quarter mile distance in just 9.9 seconds.
Also, the novelty will receive a spacious trunk with a volume of 0.7 cubic meters, which will be a record for electric cars in the sedan body.
The official premiere will take place on September 9, and the start of sales is scheduled for early 2021.
