Lotus launched a realistic online configurator on the Evija hypercarApril 15, 2020
On the official website of the British automaker, the configurator for the electric supercar Lotus Evija has been launched. The high-tech configurator uses ray tracing to show how the car looks in different types of lighting.
If you are one of 130 people who can afford to buy the British Lotus Evija hypercar, you can now enjoy your car in the high-tech online configurator. The start of mass production of the machine at a price of 1.5 to 2 million euros will be launched before the end of this year.
Given the exclusivity of the car, Lotus gives customers the freedom to choose the colors that will be used in the interior and exterior.
The company’s online configurator uses video game software to organize the visualization process. Separately, it is worth noting the function of tracing the sun’s rays, which simulates the ingress of light on any surface in the real world. Customers can then place Evija in various conditions to get an idea of how their appearance would fit into a particular decoration.
“Our customer service team is ready to meet any customer’s needs with modern digital tools such as the new configurator,” said Simon Claire, Executive Director of Global Marketing at Lotus.
New Evija snapshots were taken directly from the online configurator. They show the car in Atomic red with a Carbon Black accent. Selected environment – Lotus Design Studio.
Evija uses four electric motors with a total capacity of 1,973 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km / h will take no more than 3 seconds, and the maximum speed will be 340 km / h. The range on one charge will be 400 kilometers.
