Look at the strangest Porsche gearbox selectorJune 25, 2019
A short video of the Taycan interior appeared on the Web.
In September, Porsche will show the Taycan electric car, which was based on the Mission E. concept car. Earlier, exterior photos from sports car tests were published online, but now there is a video that shows the interior – in particular, an unusual gear selector and numerous touch screens. True, this seems to be a fantasy of designers.
Judging by the video, Taycan offered to deprive the classic transmission selector – instead, a touch panel appeared, which is responsible for changing gears. Also on the video got a fully digital center console with navigation and “Autopilot” mode.
The presentation of the serial version of the Porsche Taycan will be held in September this year, soon after that, the manufacturer promised to launch sales. The basic version of the model with a less capacious battery will cost about 100,000 euros. But despite the cost, the Stuttgart brand has already received about 20,000 pre-orders for a sports car.
In addition, the manufacturer revealed the characteristics of the top version of the novelty – the model will receive a 600-horsepower power unit, thanks to which it will be able to gain the first 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Acceleration to 200 kilometers per hour will take 12 seconds from the sports car. Power reserve of the electric “Porsche” will reach 402 kilometers.
