Look at the Mercedes-Benz X-Class with AMG-style tuningJanuary 19, 2020
Atelier Kahn Design has released a second tuning kit for the Mercedes-Benz pickup
London’s Kahn workshop introduced a revised version of the X-Class with a grille, hood and 22-inch wheels in the spirit of AMG models, a protective plastic body kit, power arcs and extra light. In addition to external accessories, they offer to alter the interior for a pickup truck.
The pearl white demo shows spectacular contrasting decorative wheel arch extensions, plastic inserts on the doors and “gills” on the hood.
Kahn designers installed the Panamericana chrome grille on the X-Calss and retained the brand logo – probably, the Mercedes-AMG X 63 4Matic could have gotten that look.
However, in addition to some external details, the Kahn pickup does not resemble the sporty character: under the hood, a full-time 190-horsepower two-liter diesel turbo four, because the project was based on the usual X-Class version X 250 d. The studio does not offer changes in the chassis.
There are no pictures of the interior yet, but it is likely that for the X-Class it will be possible to order an interior lined with high-quality soft leather, and at the request of the client, Kahn specialists will be able to alter not only the seats, door cards, central tunnel and steering wheel, but also the front panel. The possibilities of English stylists can be judged by the September alteration of a similar pickup.
A demo of the X-Class in tuning Kahn was estimated at 50 thousand pounds. Given the starting price for the X 250 d, tuning will cost the owner about 15.5 thousand pounds
