Look at the convoy of all generations of the Porsche 911June 29, 2019
The rally is dedicated to the upcoming start of sales of a new generation
Porsche has published a video of how a column from all seven generations of the legendary 911 travels along the southern coast of Thailand. Most likely, the video was released in honor of the start of sales of the new, eighth generation Porsche 911.
The first, classic 911, was released 56 years ago in 1963. Since then, the model has experienced seven generations, while the designers have managed to preserve the recognizable features of the coupe until today – the car has been modernized and refined, but even the last, eighth generation, has retained key distinctive features of the classic 1963 model.
The new generation was officially introduced in November last year. The sports car was created almost from scratch; it also received improved supercharged boxer engines, in a couple with which the car was equipped with an eight-speed robotized gearbox with two clutches. Modifications Carrera S and Carrera 4S has become 30 horses more powerful than the seventh generation and now produces 450 horsepower.
In addition, the newcomer received a special mode Porsche Wet, which recognizes the wet road and helps the driver to properly configure the car. In the eighth generation, the 911 was equipped with a night vision system for the first time, and online navigation works by getting information from other cars on the road.
The manufacturer has already begun to take orders for a new generation of Porsche 911 performed by Carrera S and Carrera 4S.
