Look at the awesome gasser Shelby Cobra HemiDecember 27, 2019
Independent artists from the Abimelec Design team published a render for the Shelby Cobra gasser. Similar cars were very popular in the middle of the last century.
The unusual popularity of drag racing in the USA during the 50s and 60s of the last century caused an unusual boom of gassers. These are such tuned cars that are focused on maximum power, we can say that this is one of the types of Hot Rods.
As such, they usually had massive engines with superchargers sticking out above the bonnet, and their front part was bent up to better transfer the weight of the power plant and its elements to the rear. Just like the one shown here, Shelby Cobra.
This computer image was created by independent artists of Abimelec Design and published on their page on the social network Facebook, and from the point of view of visualization, it may be one of the most realistic that we have ever seen.
Gassers usually received bright metal plate paint with stunning graphics to attract maximum attention. It was also common practice to have exhaust tailpipes in front, and these Cobra renders demonstrate all of the above in impressive detail. Published images even have a “grain filter” to better copy photos taken on film using a vintage 1960s camera.
Only in the 80s of the last century, similar cars became appreciated among collectors. And in fact, at that time there were several Cobra racing models built by the legendary Shelby, but none of them had the proper brightness of the Gasser era, as reflected in these very cool images, albeit created in a graphics editor.
