M5 was only 92 seconds slower than the Porsche Panamera Turbo, Ferrari 458 Italia and Lexus LFA. One of the main competitors of the model – sedan Mercedes-AMG E63 S 4Matic + – has not yet shown a better time on the “Loop”, but the wagon was able to drive a circle in 7 minutes 45.19 seconds.
The BMW M5 is equipped with a 600-hp 4.4-liter turbo eight, an eight-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive. From zero to 100 km/h the sedan is accelerated 3.4 seconds, and to 200 kilometers per hour for 11.1 seconds. The maximum speed is 250 kilometers per hour (when the M-Sport’s Package is ordered, the limiter will be shifted by 305 kilometers per hour).
Also, the model has a modification of Competition. It is equipped with a boosted to 625-horsepower engine, an understated and stiffer suspension, another release, reconfigured transmission and four-wheel drive. One hundred and two hundred kilometers per hour such a car reaches 0.1 and 0.3 seconds faster than the base BMW M5.
