London taxi will appear in GermanySeptember 4, 2020
The British electric vehicle company (London Electric Vehicle Company, LEVC), which has developed the latest interpretation of the London taxi, announced the opening of two new dealerships in Germany.
Dealerships in Berlin and Hamburg will provide full sales and after-sales support for the new LEVC TX Shuttle, a van based on London cabs. Koch Gruppe Automobile AG will operate the dealership in Berlin and AMC Kruell GmbH will operate the dealership in Hamburg.
LEVC already has six other after-sales service points in Berlin, Karlsruhe, Hamburg, Hanau, Krefeld and Munich. By the end of 2021, the automaker plans to establish an EU-wide network covering 21 countries.
“We are delighted to add Koch Gruppe Automobile AG in Berlin and AMC Kruell GmbH in Hamburg to our growing dealer network in Europe. With these appointments, LEVC now has a strong presence in two of Germany’s largest cities and I know they will provide excellent services to customers looking to move towards pure mobility, ”said Jörg Hofmann, CEO of LEVC.
Coventry-based LEVC has already sold 4,500 units of its TX taxi worldwide, first unveiling it back in 2017. The TX Shuttle uses the same eCity technology as the TX Taxi, with a total range of almost 50 km. Next year, LEVC will unveil its new VN5 electric van. It will have the same design features as the TX, and will have a range of about 480 km, but it will also be able to carry up to 830 kg of cargo in a 5.5 m compartment.
