Live pictures of the new Kia Optima without camouflage appeared on the InternetNovember 13, 2019
Korean sedan KIA Optima (K5) new generation brought to the latest road tests. Recently, the test concept news for the first time noticed on ordinary roads without any disguise.
Judging by the photos released by Thekoreancarblog agency, the updated Optima model will come out exactly the same as it was shown in the previously published first official images.
That is, the novelty will differ from the previous model by the presence of an unusual body shape with a falling fastback roof, the original Tiger Nose radiator grille, Z-shaped head light and lamps, which are interconnected by a solid LED strip.
At the same time, it became known that with a change in generation, the sedan will become 25 mm longer (4905 mm), wider by 25 mm (1860 mm), but, on the contrary, the body height will decrease by 20 mm (1445 mm). The distance between the axles, in turn, will increase by 20 mm (1445 mm).
Technical specifications of the machine are currently kept secret. But, according to rumors, the novelty will be equipped with a 2.5-liter Theta III turbo engine, which will operate in conjunction with an 8-band robotic transmission. It is assumed that the production of the model starts at the beginning of 2020. Also, most likely, the 1.6-liter supercharged engine, which will be combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, will enter the engine line.
The sedan will appear on the South Korean market before the end of this year, and then go on sale in other countries.
