Little Fiat Uno turned into a 600-hp monsterMay 26, 2019
Modern tuners do not know the word “impossible”: a little imagination and perseverance will bring to life even the most daring tuning project. Thus, the Fiat Uno miniature hatchback becomes a real racing car.
Who would have thought that the Italian mini hatch Fiat Uno could ever become a star of drag racing. The popular model has become a racing after an entire group of specialists has worked on it. The first thing the masters did was equip the future “champion” with a suitable motor. They became a four-cylinder turbocharged engine from the Lancia Delta with a displacement of 1.6 liters and an unprecedented for Uno capacity of 600 horsepower.
At the same time, as conceived by the developers, all the torque was taken over by the front wheels. They received huge tires. Recall most often the big wheels put on the rear axle of the dregster.
At the recent races in the framework of the “Wide Open Spring National 2019”, the “charged” Fiat Uno won the best result in a quarter-mile race – 9.4 seconds. The recorded maximum speed of the car in this area reached 258 km / h.
