Listen to how the titanic exhaust of McLaren soundsApril 20, 2018
McLaren’s Special Operations (MSO) division, which develops exclusive versions of supercars, unveiled the titanium exhaust system for the Sport Series – 540C, 570GT and 570S. The manufacturer has published a video in which you can listen to its sound.
As they say in McLaren, the novelty is five decibels louder than the standard steel release, which is installed on the basic variants of the Sport Series, while the full sound of the system “opens” after five thousand revolutions per minute. Titanium output allows you to make supercars at 4.8 kilograms easier, as well as redistribute the center of gravity.
In the UK, a new graduation system costs 4,750 pounds sterling
The younger model of the Sport Series family – 540C – is equipped with a 540-strong twin-turbo “eight” and a robotic gearbox. The first “hundred” such a car is gaining for 3.5 seconds, and 200 kilometers per hour – for 10.5 seconds. This is 0.3 and 1.0 second slower than the 570-strong McLaren 570S.
