Lincoln Continental sedan received a special version with “suicidal” doorsOctober 4, 2019
The automaker has already announced the start of accepting orders for a new generation Lincoln Continental sedan with a legendary distinctive feature.
Due to widespread demand, Lincoln is returning rear hinged doors to its 2020 Continental model. The automaker took this step because of the high demand for cars of the 2019 model year – 80 copies of the model were sold out in 48 hours. Coach Door Edition special version is made on the basis of the top performance Black Label, equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 with four-wheel drive. Lincoln specialists simply installed swinging doors open and made some other changes to the cabin.
While the regular version of the Black Label with a 400-horsepower engine and all-wheel drive costs a little less than 77 thousand US dollars without additional options, Coach Door Edition is sold for an impressive amount of 115 470 dollars. Customers can choose from Infinite Black, Pristine White Metallic or Chroma Crystal Blue body colors, as well as the Monochromatic package. Alpine / Chalet or Jet Black / Thoroughbred themes are offered for the interior, but the latter cannot be combined with the blue color of the body.
“Suicidal” doors, of course, are the highlight of the special edition, but here you should also pay attention to changes in the cabin. The center console in the luxury sedan includes a table for the rear passengers, two holders for a tablet or laptop and wireless charging. Those sitting in the back can also use one of the two USB ports and a 110 V outlet, and a four-inch display gives them access to climate control settings.
