Lincoln announced the premiere of a new crossoverNovember 7, 2018
The company Lincoln will present at the motor show in Los Angeles on November 28, the serial version of the new crossover, which will revive the name Aviator. Under this name, the American brand from 2002 to 2005 produced a large SUV with a three-row cabin. The company also published a video showing how the Detroit Symphony Orchestra records the melodies for the new crossover. They will be used to alert the car.
“For us, this is a completely new step – the introduction of music into the information world of the car. We always think about luxury, and this was another way for Lincoln to go to an even higher level, ” – said a spokeswoman for the marketing department of the company, Jennifer Prescot.
Judging by the image of the novelty, which is shown at the end of the video, the design of the serial version of the crossover will repeat the concept of the same name, presented in March at the New York Auto Show. The new Aviator, like its ideological predecessor, will receive a salon with seven seats. According to preliminary data, the novelty will take its place in the line of Lincoln one step below the Navigator SUV.
Technical details of the car are kept secret. It is not excluded that the car will receive a hybrid power plant. It is assumed that its composition included a petrol twin-turbo unit V6, which works in tandem with an electric motor. The crossover will also be equipped with an adaptive suspension with a road ahead scanning system, thanks to which the chassis automatically applies the optimal settings in advance.
The new Lincoln Aviator will receive a 12-inch touchscreen display of the SYNC infotainment complex, as well as an “electronic key” – access to the door locks, ignition and other functions of the car is provided via a smartphone.
