The new sports car, in addition to a spectacular appearance, boasts a 755-horsepower engine.
The British automaker during an online presentation introduced the public to the new McLaren 765LT sports car. In total, 765 copies of this model will be released, and the first deliveries are scheduled for September, writes motor1.com. The new sports car is powered by a four-liter 755-horsepower Twin-Turbo V8 McLaren, working in conjunction with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. According to the assurances of the developers, up to 100 km / h, the limited McLaren 765LT accelerates in just 2.8 seconds, and accelerates up to 200 km / h in 7.2 seconds. At the same time, the novelty is 80 kilograms lighter than the current McLaren 720S coupe.
It was possible to lose the “extra kilograms” to a sports car, whose mass is only 1,229 kilograms, due to carbon fiber, titanium exhaust and thinner glass. Bumpers, side skirts, a front splitter, a diffuser, etc. are made of carbon fiber, for example.
The new McLaren rides on 10-spoke wheels with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R. Tires. In addition, the novelty gets a faster steering coefficient, new springs and upgraded algorithms for the Proactive Chassis Control II suspension control system.
Without carbon, it could not have done while interior decoration. This lightweight material was used in the manufacture of armchairs, a central tunnel, and even the floor. As a material for upholstery, the manufacturer chose Alcantara. The seats here are 18 kilograms lighter than the same 720S. There is no air conditioning and audio system, however, at the request of the client, this equipment will be installed.
