Limited edition Chevrolet Corvette left to rot in the woodsOctober 16, 2020
The car is in poor condition
In the forests of Delaware, USA, a limited edition 1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 was found among trees and abandoned buildings. Judging by the photographs published on eBay, the car has been in oblivion for more than one year: the side windows are broken, the paint is peeling, and the interior is destroyed.
Who and why abandoned the sports car “to die” in the forest, history is silent. The 1969 Corvette was equipped with a seven-liter V8 engine in three boost options: 390, 400 and 441 horsepower, but it is the engine that is missing from the found specimen. There are still four days left until the end of trading, and the current bid for a limited-edition Corvette without an engine is $ 4,335.
On Сlassiccars.com you can find dozens of advertisements for the sale of refurbished Chevrolet Corvette of the same model year. On average, prices range from $ 50,000 to $ 90,000
Last year, an entire car graveyard was put up for sale in Colorado, with 73 cars selling for $ 250 each. Among them were unusual examples, for example, the Fiat 124 Spider, Alfa Romeo and Lancia 1966-1989 model years.
And in September of this year in the Krasnoyarsk Territory they found a special parking lot with many abandoned cars. There they left to “die” a Mercedes-Benz G-class with flat tires and a Range Rover with broken windows and a burnt-out interior.
