Lexus will update its two models by 2020December 1, 2019
Starting next year, the Japanese manufacturer will release a new version of the RX and the limited edition IS F Sport.
Lexus will release a couple of additional trim levels for the RX SUV and IS F Sport sedan next year. The new Lexus RX and RX L in the basic version will receive an electric tailgate, LED headlights with automatic high beam and parking sensors with intelligent Sonar clearance. Inside there will be a wireless charger for the smartphone and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
There is also upholstery made of synthetic leather, a rear-view mirror with automatic dimming, and a pair of front seats with heated and electric drive in eight directions with two-way adjustment of the lower back on the driver’s seat. Customers also receive many standard safety equipment, including automatic emergency braking and a blind spot monitoring system.
The seven-seater Lexus RX L Takumi also offers seats with two separate seats in the second row instead of the usual three-seater sofa. Each comes with its own central armrest, and both have a folding function to create space for transporting large items.
The Lexus limited edition, called I Blue, is based on the rare F Sport edition and comes with a number of cosmetic enhancements and more standard equipment. The interior will receive a two-tone finish with contrasting inserts on the door cards and seams on the seats. Customers also get a 10-inch infotainment system, adjustable front seats and automatic tinted side mirrors.
In addition, in addition to the exterior design of IS I Blue, there are black side mirror covers, an updated radiator grille and fog light trim, as well as a set of 18-inch alloy wheels painted in metallic gray. Buyers can also choose one of three color options – azure blue, white or black graphic.
