Lexus will introduce competitor Cadillac EscaladeFebruary 15, 2020
Dealers of the Japanese automaker in the United States unanimously say that it is time for Lexus to introduce a luxurious full-size SUV with 7 or 8 seats. He must compete with the Cadillac Escalade.
Lexus creates some of the most stylish and fashionable cars on the market. The combination of luxury with a fashionable appearance helps the brand remain one of the TOP on the global automotive scene. Of course, prices for the entire range of Japanese automakers have always been at a fairly high level. But this is in all cases a justifiable waste, because thanks to the fact that the parent company Toyota has almost unlimited resources (both financial and mental), Lexus can offer its customers reliability, stylish appearance, a large list of the latest technologies and premium level of comfort.
Many Lexus dealerships in North America believe the Japanese brand lacks a model that competes with huge 7- or 8-seater luxury SUVs such as the Cadillac Escalade.
In a short interview, Paul LaRochelle, chairman of the Lexus National Dealership Advisory Council, said Lexus dealers in the US are looking for major changes to the company’s luxury SUV lineup, whether it’s a new model or a significant upgrade, as is the case with the aging LX.
“In the current realities of the automotive market, crossovers and SUVs are very popular. Especially often, Americans need exactly huge size luxury SUVs with 7 or 8 seats. So in this regard, the Japanese company loses a little and misses a chance to grab “its piece of cake”.
Larochelle says Toyota President Akio Toyoda has committed to the plan for 2025, according to which at least two or three model line upgrades will be carried out in the next five years, and several new cars will be added to the lineup each year. Can we see in the near future a 7- / 8-seater version of the new generation LX SUV? Time will tell.
