Lexus unveils special edition LC 500 Convertible RegattaAugust 4, 2020
The limited edition Lexus LC Regatta Edition features a unique color scheme that the company says is inspired by a luxury ocean yacht.
Lexus has released a special version of the LC 500 convertible called the Regatta Edition. The company notes that the engineers were inspired by the world of yacht racing.
The special LC 500 differs from the standard cabriolet in a unique Structural Blue paint in combination with a soft top in Marine Blue. The interior is finished with a blend of white and blue leather, which Lexus says was designed to “evoke the ambiance of a luxury marina.”
In technical terms, the new product does not differ from the base Lexus LC 500. The power plant uses the same naturally aspirated 5.0-liter petrol V8, which produces 457 hp. power and 530 Nm of torque. The power plant is coupled with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in a convertible takes about 5.0 seconds.
The LC 500 Regatta Edition will be available to order from August 5th and Lexus is currently examining demand for the model. The official price has yet to be confirmed, although the company has told us that fewer than 10 copies will be sold in the UK. Thus, a price of more than 100 thousand pounds is possible.
