Lexus is preparing for the presentation of its new LC 500 convertible – the debut will take place at the Los Angeles Auto Show in a couple of days. To improve the dynamics and chassis, the engineers redesigned the suspension, reducing the weight in the front. Also, with the help of special brackets, the rigidity of the chassis was increased. The fabric top of the convertible can be controlled at speeds up to 50 km / h. Its full opening and closing takes 15-16 seconds. Buyers will be offered several different body paint options, including Ultra White, Smoky Granite, Liquid Platinum, Atomic Silver, Obsidian, Caviar, Infrared and others. Of the interesting options, it is also worth noting the driver’s neck heating – this is an innovation for convertibles.
Under the hood of the car is a V8 engine with a return of 471 hp. at 540 Nm of torque. The power plant works in tandem with the most modern automatic transmission with 10 steps.
In addition to the production version, Lexus will release another limited version of the LC 500 called Inspiration. The circulation of this party will be 100 copies. The car will be in blue with a blue roof, and the interior will appreciate the white leather trim. The first model LC 500 will be put up for auction on January 11, 2020, and mass sales will begin in the summer.
