Lexus LC received a new limited versionOctober 30, 2020
Lexus LC received a new limited version with the Aviation prefix.
The new variation is designed for the LC 500 and LC 500h trim levels and differs from the standard model by the presence of a sleek rear spoiler made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic.
This spoiler was created by the craftsmen involved in the iconic Lexus LFA project and includes lowered winglets that the Japanese automaker says are functional and form a vertical vortex to smooth out turbulence. This is said to improve steering response, comfort and stability at high speeds.
The special variant also received black 21-inch split-spoke wheels, a tinted grille and side air intakes, and tinted headlights and lights. As for the LC Aviation cabin, it is worth noting the presence of Aviation Black upholstery, Alcantara on the steering wheel, transmission lever and door panels. The color scheme of the body of a special modification is presented in silver, white and black shades.
The technical equipment of the model remained the same. The LC 500 is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 471 hp, while the LC 500h is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine and two electric motors. The total output of the power plant is 354 hp.
Lexus will build just 70 LC Aviation vehicles exclusively for the Japanese market. Sales of the special version will start on January 6 this year.
In addition, it was recently noted that the Japanese company Lexus will stop selling some of the models in the European market. It should be emphasized that the main stake will be on the development of crossovers and SUVs.
