The Lexus LC Coupe is a stunning luxury sports car that has never been used as a police car. At least until now.

In Japan, this luxurious Lexus LC coupe was taken to the Tochigi Prefecture Police Department. Yes, this is the same police force that has Nissan GT-R, Honda NSX and Nissan Skyline R34 patrol cars. The LC was presented to the department by the head of Lexus, Kazuo Nakamura. “I would like you to use this to prevent traffic accidents,” Nakamura said to the police last year. It is reported that Nakamura also donated a Nissan GT-R to the military.

The police car has been transferred to the Mobile Traffic Administration and will be deployed on the streets to reduce road traffic accidents and stop offenders. So if you ever find yourself in Tochigi Prefecture and exceed the speed limit, you can see a Lexus LC police car chasing you from behind.

The Lexus LC is already a very stylish sports coupe that looks even better in black and white police livery and red flashing lights. It is unknown if any mechanical modifications were made to the patrol car, but even the standard Lexus LC 500 should have no problem with lawbreakers trying to overtake the police in sports cars.

Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 471 hp. and 540 Nm of torque, which is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. This allows the sports coupe to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 270 km / h.
